Policy, Terms, & Conditions

1. Scope of Services
Garnet Starlet provides bespoke costuming services, including custom-designed outfits, headpieces, and accessories specifically tailored for drag, burlesque, festivals, and theater. Each piece is handcrafted in a North Carolina studio with professional care and artistic vision.

2. Design Process & Consultations
All custom projects will begin with a design consultation. We will discuss your vision, inspiration, and functional needs. Take note that there will be no exact copies of any already existing pieces. Inspiration can be taken but each of the costume pieces will be original. Each costume is handcrafted, be aware there may be slight variations in design and imbellishment. Colors may vary slightly due to digital viewing. Garnet Starlet reserves the right to maintain creative integrity; while client input is vital, the final artistic execution remains at the designer's discretion.

3. Client Responsibilities & Measurements
The client is responsible for providing accurate professional measurements. Garnet Starlet is not liable for fit issues resulting from inaccurate measurements provided by the client. A virtual measurement guide will be provided.

4. Pricing & Payment Terms
Quotes are valid for 15 days. Payments are made via the agreed upon platform. Production begins only after the initial deposit is cleared. All remaining balances must be paid before the item/-s are shipped. Due to the personal nature of the garments, all sales are final.

5. Deposits & Non-Refundable Fees
After the $10 consultation, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your spot. This fee covers design time and material procurement.

6. Changes & Revisions
Minor design adjustments are permitted during mockup. Up to two revisions are allowed after agreeing to a look. Significant structural changes requested after materials are cut/sewn/embellished will incur additional costs.

7. Timelines & Rush Orders
Standard production takes 3 to 6 weeks. Rush orders (under 3 weeks) may incur a 75% surcharge on the total. Smaller orders may be ready sooner, larger orders may take more time. Note these are estimates and the production time varies on a case by case basis.

8. Shipping Policy
Items can be shipped across the country (USA) from North Carolina through national postage. Once accepted by carrier, the designer is not liable for delays or damages. Local clients may organize a different mode of delivery/pick-up.

9. International Shipping & Customs
Garnet Starlet does not provide international shipping at this time.

10. Lost or Damaged Packages
For loss/damage, clients must cooperate with carrier claims. Garnet Starlet can assist documentation but cannot refund carrier errors.

11. Returns & Exchanges
Due to personalization, all sales are final. There are no returns or exchanges on custom costumes, headpieces, or accessories. (With the exception of repairs and alterations)

12. Repairs & Alterations
 Standard wear/tear and size alterations will be available for a discussed fee after final purchase.

13. Care Instructions
Specialized instructions are included. Most items are spot-clean or hand wash only. Improper laundering voids repair guarantees.

14. Liability
Garnet Starlet is not liable for injuries occurring while wearing garments. Clients must wear the items responsibly and as originally intended. Be sure to state any potential allergies before production starts as well. By purchasing products under this seller, anything that may happen to the garments/performer after confirmed final purchase is the customer's responsibility. Clients shall also assume responsibility of the usual risks of performance use. Including but not limited to: tripping/falling, rhinestone/bead shedding, staining, breakage, exposure to harsh temperatures, tangling, bruising, etc.

15. Portfolio Rights
Garnet Starlet retains rights to use images/videos of work (including progress) for portfolio, public, and/or promotional use. If the client uploads or posts images of their purchases to the internet (via blog, social media, chat forum, etc.) they must credit Garnet Starlet. On Instagram, be sure to tag @Garnet.Starlet in all posts featuring the purchased products.

16. Conduct Policy

This is a hate-free zone. Garnet Starlet reserves the right to refuse/cancel service to anyone. There is a zero tolerance policy for those who use discriminatory, hateful, inappropriate, or otherwise harmful language and/or symbolism. Including but not limited to: homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, xenophobia, ableism, etc.

17. Age Restrictions

Because of the adult nature of select featured products, only those 18+ may purchase or commision work from Garnet Starlet. Failure to comply will result in production cancellation.
